JustAL Websites

The JustAL Website experiment is just that, an experiment. I did my first website using straight HTML code for some friends who had a '50s band and, for my first attempt, it wasn't bad. I did a family site, again with straight HTML code, and it served it's purpose. I did a site or two using Microsoft Frontpage, but those who ever used Frontpage you know it can add lines of code that is not really needed and often results in slow site and crashes; Microsoft in a nutshell.

I then started managing a site for a long distance endurance motorcycle event and realized there was much about web design I did not know.  CSS, JS, JAVA, LBI... I had been pushed into the difficult world of "old dog-new trick" reality. So I purchased a copy of ADOBE Dreamweaver and Photoshop and, after some trial and error, I sort of figured it out.

Some years back ADOBE decided to do a monthly fee for thier complete line of products. Can't say I was happy, but I bit the bullet and marched on.

Long story short (I'm actually leaving out a large percentage of this story) here I am, faking my way through web design.

I do not charge a fee for my webdesgn work, but do consider it proper that there be concessions offered, favors, assistance with what can be provided, and a good word from time to time. That is not to say I will do any website for free; there needs to be something in it for me. Something that does not put me in the cross-hairs of the IRS.
